The New, New Twitter – What can it do now?
Twitter has begun rolling out their new look and functionality this week. Apparently if you get the app on your iphone, Android or blackberry you will get the new features rolled out sooner directly on Twitter. (just a hint) But if you do not have it yet, be patient it will be there soon enough.
The new look means many things for users:
- Everything will be the same on mobile and desktops as they have the same tab menu
- Favourite features are embedded on the left side and photos, videos and conversations all stay with a tweet so you can follow it all in one spot.
- The Connect @ section is where you see who has followed, mentioned, retweeted or favorited you.
- Discover # is where you will find out all things new on twitter – new people to follow, hashtag conversations to check, or even your interests based on your location.
- The Me tab is all about you – your profile, direct messages, lists and settings
- The Speak Up tab is where you can share your knowledge, your info – talk to people.
