WHERE TO STAY IN SAMAL ISLAND – Blue Waters Beach Resort, “a Perfect Choice for a Comfortable and Affordable Oceanfront Accommodation”

Our boat docked at the Blue water beach resort’s wharf where the staff fetch us, carried our bags and brought us to the reception area. From the boat pa lang, we were so amazed on the resort’s amenities and it’s beach area. We settled first, rested for a while then proceed to our room to keep our things. After a while, we requested them to find us a “habal-habal”, so we could start our tour around the island while it’s still early. After a few minutes, the motorcycles that they contacted arrived. I will have separate posts on the places we visited in the island later.

For the mean time, let me share to you the resort where we stayed for a night in Samal island.

Blue Waters in an upscale resort in Samal Island where you can enjoy great views of Davao City, the Davao Gulf, and the stunning Mt. Apo. This white sand beach resort also comes with swimming pools, picnic tables, mushroom huts, kiosk and “low rate” yet quality accommodation with a variety of facilities and service that are sure to meet the needs of the guests. The resort staff are very accommodating and welcomed us with a warm and homey atmosphere that emphasizes pleasant and cordial service.

Their air-conditioned accommodation is very spacious, remarkably clean and well furnished, with an inflection on natural building and decorating materials. We got an 8-bed dormitory type room for only Php 2,500 pesos. Great deal ayt?! Perfect for travelers like us who want to get their money’s worth.

We had our dinner in the restaurant near the pool. Their staff will nicely come to your room and ask your food orders for them to prepare it ahead. I suggest that you order ahead of time because it takes a little time for them to serve the food. You might also want to advise them on what time and where you want your food to be served. The food is a bit expensive but with its large serving, it isn’t quite expensive at all.

After dinner we had some booze at the beach. After which, we called it a night.

In the morning of our 2nd day, we found ourselves enjoying the warm sunshine. The resort’s picnic tables are in best locations for you to enjoy the sunrise while sipping your favorite coffee.

After a hefty breakfast, we went to the beach area. It has beautiful white sand and very clean, well maintained shoreline; the water is clear, warm and sparkling. We had a lot of fun swimming and cam-whoring at the beach.

If you are looking for “night-life”, partying all-night and entertainment, then this place is not for you. However, if you are looking for a resort where you can find total relaxation, a time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, I highly recommend Blue Waters Resort to you. This place offers a comfy and relaxing atmosphere that is truly worth your visit. For me, Blue Waters Beach Resort is the perfect choice for comfortable and affordable oceanfront accommodation when visiting the Island Garden City of Samal.

One thing is for sure, we all left the resort satisfied!
